Urbanears Experience

Last month I was able to get an invite from one of the tech product store in the country, the Digital Walker. They have set an event exclusively for bloggers. It was a limited event to make it more interactive and friendly approach in introducing their latest gadget accessory. They wanted bloggers to personally define and test the product, so each of the bloggers present in the event were given a set to personally experience and test the quality of the product.
For those who didn’t know Digital Walker yet, here’s a brief introduction about the store. The Digital Walker is a multi-branded store carrying only the latest and best tech products in the market. Some of the products that they are offering are Apple, Blackberry, HTC, Crumpler, Belkin, Speck, Marshall, Sennheiser, Creative, JBL, Nikon, Canon and other top tech products. So mainly they are offering all of the top brands when it comes to digital products.

For this specific event they introduced their latest product, the Urbanears. I know it sounds local but it is not actually local because Urbanears is designed in Stockhom, Sweden. It is a foreign brand with a touch of a local and classic look. If you’re going to closely look at the designs of their headphones you’ll probably say that it’s just like ordinary headphones with a candy colored look. Yes! It is right that the look is still the classic design of the headphones but with some extra features and more of an upgraded old feature.
Urbanears has four different designs. I know the names of each designs sounds weird and do not jive with the product. So the names are Bagis, Medis, Tanto, and Plattan. Now, what do you think? Don’t worry you’re not the only one who got that idea. Anyway, no matter how odd their names are as long as the quality of the products is good, it’s okay. The four designs have different features that will be enjoyed by many sound fanatics. The Plattan design is more likely of an earmuff used during winter. One of the features that I like about this is that you can actually listen at the same time with just one iPhone or iPod. You just simply link with the listener by simply plugging into the port that the other side of the headphones. The Tanto design is much more like of the earmuff but much smaller just like of a walkman headphone. The third one is the Medis design which has a very unique feature on its ear piece, it can actually lock into your ear without dropping it when you’re going hyper active. The Bagis is the last among the four designs and this is the one provided to us. One of the features is the ability to connect both of the ear pieces together and snap it again once you’re going to use it. Unlike the other three designs this one is capable of actually sealing you off from the surrounding sounds. This one is more of an intimate type of listening experience.
All four designs have the same color tones, the only unique about their colors is that it is only released once. They don’t repeat the color tones. Aside from the color tone, another great about the product is the materials used for wirings which are made of fabric to avoid tangling and easy breakage.
With regards to the quality of sound, though I’m not very good with sound aspect I could say the quality is just right to clearly hear some of the instruments in the music. It took me quite some time to try the Bagis headphone to almost every gadget that I know. Admittedly, I don’t have gadgets to boast with and try on the headphone. What I did was I tried and test it with some of gadgets that my officemates have. There were quite few brands that I tried it on, first of course is with our personal computer, second is with the Blackberry Storm of my officemate, third is the Nokia C1 model, and lastly is the Muvo digital recorded that our office have. So personally I can say that in those four testing I find the Bagis sound quality A okay and highly recommend. Though there are some inhibitions from my officemates and friends with regards to the price. Still, which one would you have, cheap with low quality or pricey with A1 quality?

The Bagis
Featuring earplug construction for direct sound and efficient noise reduction, the Bagis is a compact version of the full Urbanears experience. As a bonus, each earpiece snaps together, allowing you to carry them around your neck when not in use.

It is a full size on-ear model with a rich secluded sound in a compact body. It folds down to the size of your fist and comes with a ZoundPlug, allowing for a friend to plug in and share your music.
