Could you imagine a car purely powered by the sun? Well... to science and technology it's not impossible. Scientist can sure have a full vision of things. A little imagination, more of funding, and greater urge to find solution to every problem will precisely create things you can imagine.

That's what drives this people in Toyota. Someone just leak some information that they are building a car with solar panel to run its air conditioning unit at first but then they shifted to entirely run the whole vehicle.

Though this idea will get years or even decade to complete, still lets hope it will come true in the years to come. Who knows I might even have one!

January 6, 2009 HTC unveiled a new QWERTY Smartphone for their avid consumers. Unveiling the HTC S743 which runs with the Windows Mobile 6.1 application, slide out keyboard and high-speed HSDPA (850/1900 MHz) connectivity.



With its faceted ergonomic design feature and with a measure of mere 1.7 inches wide, this smartphone comfortably fits right into your palm. With its large and bright 2.4-inch QVGA display, reading and responding to email and SMS or accessing the Internet is much clear and easier.

With a full QWERTY keyboard, the S743 takes advantage of its messaging options. Running on Windows Mobile 6.1, it has access to Microsoft Exchange as well as personal POP3 and IMAP4 email protocols. Along with SMS and MMS messaging, support for instant messaging standards is included.

"Motorola Surf A3100 3G Touch Tablet"

Last January 6, 2009, Motorola revealed a new phone for consumers/users who uses touch tables. The Surf A3100, a touch tablet with a customizable home screen running Windows Mobile 6.1 software.
With a tip of a finger, a stylus or an omni-directional trackball, users can easily access applications and toggle documents back and forth. They can personalized home screen icons to get live feeds on weather, news, personal and work email, messaging and calendar events.



Users can access video conferencing or update their Facebook status through the Wi-Fi and 3G. They can also navigate from point A to B using aGPS.

The Motorola Surf A3100 will be available in multiple regions beginning in Q1 2009, including Asia and Latin America.

"Motorola Renew Eco-Phone"

Helping save the planet is one of the mottos of the new Motorola phone which was announce last January 6, 2009. The W233 Renew is a mobile phone made from recycled water bottle plastics.



This phone is the world's first carbon neutral phone besides its casing came from recycled materials. Motorola also pledged to offset the carbon dioxide used in manufacturing, distribution and operation of the phone through investments in renewable energy sources and reforestation.

Its packaging and manuals were all came from recycled materials. This is their way of saving the resources and saving the planet.

The Renew will first be available at T-Mobile in Q1 2009.

AT&T unveiled a new Motorola phone, the Tundra VA76r, a rugged 3G clamshell with a tough exterior. This clamshell is designed to withstand different and harsh weather condition which met the US810F Military Specifications (MIL) whether it be drop, dust, vibration, humidity, severe temperatures and rain, name it, it can withstand it.
The Tundra VA76r is distinctively design for contractors, landscapers and other works with tough work environment but it is also an attractive phone for a wide variety of consumers who are rough on their phones."



It has a dual microphone technology to enhance conversation clarity while in the noisiest environment and it also uses the Motorola's CrystalTalk technology. This phone also has a PTT technology which gives users the edge to connect to a single person or an entire team. It also have different features such as voice activation, phone book locking for call restrictions, a rugged antenna and keys that can be easily pressed while wearing gloves.

Since it is unveiled with AT&T, this phone comes with a AT & T Navigator for advanced turn-by-turn directions with optional services such as TeleNav Track and Xora Mobile Workforce Management tools.

Plus a 2.0-megapixel camera snaps and shares still images, a 100MB of available memory, up to 4GB of optional removable memory, and it can be paired with Bluetooth accessories.

The Motorola Tundra will be available for $199.99 after a $50 mail-in-rebate with a two-year contract in stores and online on January 13.

"Calling all Adobe Fanatics!"

If you’re a student of any creative graphics media, particularly in graphic design, then you’d better read this article.

Adobe Systems Inc. has issued a call for entries for the 9th Annual Adobe Design Achievement Awards (ADAA). A competition made to honor the best and talented student graphic designers, photographers, illustrators, animators, digital filmmakers, developers, and computer artists from the accredited higher education institutions worldwide.

The competition partnered with the International Council of Graphic Design Associations (Icograda) and will hold the ceremony in Beijing, China on October 2009 during the Icograda World Design Congress. 2,500 delegates from around the globe will attend the Congress at the China National Convention Center.

As part of the prizes to be won the winners will be invited to attend the said Congress.

The Competition is open to all students in 40 countries. Check out their website to view all 40 countries allowed to enter the competition.

So to all aspirants from the other countries lets just hope that will be added on the next competition.

For those who are in the said country try to submit one through online until June 5, 2009. The online submissions will be judged digitally in June. For the final phase of judging, semifinalists will be asked to submit their source files and a physical aspect of their entry as it is meant to be viewed. Like I said before part of the prizes and being one of the finalists is to be invited in Beijing, China and the Icograda World Design Congress and awarded software and cash prizes.
