"Walk on Water with Waterwalkerz"

ads here too

While searching for some cool stuff and gadgets I found this article about walking on water. Well walking on water doesn’t really the first thing that I’ve heard because Jesus walks on water. Apparently Jesus didn’t use any gadget to walk on water.
Anyway is a company that provides this big and huge sphere shape plastic balls that you can use to walk on water.

Try to compare the ball that Jackie Chan used in the movie Armor of God and the ball in the movie The vengers used by John Steed (Ralph Fiennes) and Emma Peel (Uma Thurman). They are both plastic filled with air. The other one is used to lessen the impact while the other one is used to walk on water.

So the gadget we are referring to is the one that enables you to walk on water theoretically but basically you won’t be able to walk and be still inside the ball without falling down. To sum it up this gadget can be used for fun at the pool, beach, or lake.

Oh by the way before reading this article I found one like this at SM Clark, Pampanga, Philippines. Kids really love playing and being inside this big and huge plastic ball.

"Amphibious R/C Tank"

A two in one toy? Hmmm! Very interesting hah! Crave on this!
While searching for some cool gadgets and new toys in the net I found this very interesting toy and it really captured my interest. I never thought that by actually putting this into a toy would really fun and enjoyable to look at. Though personally I don’t have of this but for use I’ll crave for this one if it’s on sale.
This toy that I’ve found is called the Amphibious RC Tank. This is not just another typical RC Toys that you roam around on land but this baby is also an aquatic toy. This amphibious RC tank automatically folds its wheels once it hits the water and then transform into a water running vehicle. Pretty neat ha! Wait till you fire its weapons, its shoots BB bullets.

This cool toy doesn’t ends on its transforming thing from land vehicle to ocean assault boat it also impresses me of its 4WD R/C (that’s 4-wheel-drive remote control). I thought 4WD only comes on big cars.

But to some it up sorry for us here in the Philippines because this baby is only available in UK for only £43.49.

"Laxman: Relaxing in Style"

ads here too

Stressed out from an all day work. Sit back, relax and enjoy. A new gadget is available in the market that can provide relaxation through visual stimulation. Laxman is the name and relaxation is the game.

This Laxman comes with a pair of goggles that can fill your eyes with kaleidoscopic light that helps you “shift into a more relaxed state of mind”. Apparently, this relaxation technique is still an all-natural process, because it achieves the same soothing effect that comes from watching “a flickering flame or the glittering surface of a lake”.

These visual and auditory stimuli vibrate at specific frequencies that can somehow effect brain wave patterns. With a little application of the Ganzfeld Effect (overloading the sensory field with a uniform signal from a featureless field of vision) the user will be transported into an “altered state similar to sensory deprivation”.

The Laxman comes preloaded with four hours of relaxation music and matching lightshow. You can even match your favorite MP3 with a pre loaded lightshow if you want to really personalize your relaxation experience.

Let’s hope that you won’t stress-out on the cost of Laxman, it's about $649.

"Vertu Boucheron 150"

ads here too

If you’re looking for a very luxurious mobile phone to give away this holiday try this Boucheron 150 from Vertu, the major producer of luxurious mobile phone. Vertu teamed up with French jewellery house Boucheron to create a limited edition mobile phone built from solid gold.
As commemoration of Boucheron's 150th anniversary, the Vertu Boucheron 150 is crafted from individual solid gold ingots taking over 1000 man hours to cut to shape, with over 700 man hours of hand polishing followed by 500 hours of hand building.

The concave sapphire crystal keypad is intricately designed with 400 points, providing the toughest of challenges for the most skilled of craftsmen. The constantly changing angled surfaces allow a cut stone appearance, inspired by the clearly faceted stones which are part of Boucheron's core craft.

The Boucheron 150 was created to reflect both brands. The Vertu V-shape morphs into random proportioned patterns and directions of the three sided surfaces creating a blend of Vertu and Boucheron elements. It gains a visual sparkle not from precious stones but instead through pure form and line achieved with precious faceted metal.

The Boucheron 150 is housed in a bespoke hand-made wooden case by Reuge, the market leading Swiss makers of artisan music boxes. The box has a custom-built brass music drum that plays the signature Vertu sandpiper ringtone upon opening.

This luxurious mobile cost $30,000. So if you’re planning to spend some great cash this holiday, grab one of this.

December 1 is near and people of the world marks this date to commemorate and give strength to people who are a victim of this incurable disease, the World AIDS Day.

While browsing for some techie gadgets and stuff on the net I found this article from the Entitled “A Cure for AIDS”, could this be the answer… could this be the cure that people with AIDS are waiting for. To others it maybe impossible to hear but for the affected ones this gives them hope and faith.

According to the article an American ex-pat national with AIDS was just cured but by accident while treating his leukemia. The American ex-pat was under going a very expensive, complicated and risky procedure. He was suffering from leukemia as well as a full-blown case of AIDS. The man’s case was so desperate that these German doctors decided to give him a bone-marrow transplant. According to the article the doctors use blood stem cells from a donor who was immune to HIV. The case was discovered 10 years ago doctors find out that few of their gay male patients never developed AIDS, despite engaging in risky sex with hundreds of partners. It turned out that they had a rare mutation called Delta 32 that blocks a molecule in HIV from adhering to the cell surface. Delta 32 must be inherited from both parents; it occurs at a rate of roughly 1 percent in European populations (it's more common in Northern Europe and much much, rarer--basically unheard of--in Africa and Asia), so it was difficult but not impossible for the doctors to find a donor in Germany who fit the bill. So on with the treatment and the patient was asked to stop taking his antiretroviral AIDS medication for the time being while undergoing the procedure. Understanding that once he stopped taking his medication he would start again to stop the rising of virus in his bloodstream. To their amazed, it never rose and its been close to two years since the transplant and still no traces of HIV in the blood or brain tissues.

With this breakthrough at least there’s a start for other doctors and scientist to study more and dig deeper on how to fully cure this incurable disease. Never lose hope and keep the faith alive.

"Bonifacio Day"

November 30, a date marked as red on the Philippine Calendar which signifies holiday. This holiday is exclusively for Andres Bonifacio to commemorate him as one of the National Heroes who fought for the liberation and freedom of all Filipinos and to celebrate his birthday.

The odd thing here is that all national heroes like Jose Rizal were remembered on the day of their death but Andres Bonifacio was remembered on his birthday. Strange and ironic.
In addition to the irony and strangeness of Andress Bonifacio’s life, first he is the “Supremo” (Supreme) of all the “Katipuneros” (Council) and he formed the “Kataas-taasang Kagalang-galangan Katipunan or KKK” a revolutionary organization formed to fight against the Spaniards and yet he was not proclaimed as the Philippine National Hero. Second, he was a member of the Mason, only few and educated person are eligible on that time but still he was coined as a poor man who wears farmer’s clothes with a bolo on his hand and little education. And the third, he fought for the Filipinos and yet he was executed by his fellow Filipino.

Remember Andres Bonifacio, enlighten history and forget what you have learned.

A cup of tea and a tea bag on the side of the saucer. Notice the tea bag’s juice as it drips down the centre of the saucer leaving traces of rust-colored drips, one serious thing to settle with tea bags. Though it’s not that so big to deal still it’s unpleasant to look at.

A person in the name of Jonas Trampedach found a simple way to solve this tea bag left over problem by designing a tea cup and saucer where you can hide the tea bag in the middle of the saucer to avoid cluttering and the rust colored drippings. Mr. Trampedach called this the “Tea bag coffin”. This tea bag coffin is still a designed will just have to weight till its manufactured.

"Unique Christmas Tree"

A few weeks to go and Holiday season is here. At this time most of us are very decorating our houses with Christmas decors and Christmas lights. For most people Christmas won't be complete without a Christmas tree, be it a one rule height or as high as a five story building or even higher.

Some people even create and innovate the look and style of Christmas trees. From indigenous materials to a more sophisticated tree with lights and sounds. But how about a stack of 43 LCD televisions! Shocking and eye-popping right, that's what happened to commuters in Grand Central Station when Sharp unveiled a 26-foot tall Christmas tree made of 43 Aquous LCD Televisions. It is set-up into diminishing in size from 52 inches at the bottom to 19 inches at the top. This televisions are set up and wired together to display coordinated video shows, such as a waterfall that spills from the top panels down to the bottom of the Christmas tree.

I'm sure a lot of people will surely dropped their jaws when passing by.

"A Smart Coaster"

ads here too

While browsing the Popular Science website I found this cool and smart way to know if your coffee, tea, hot chocolate, or any hot drinks is okay and safe to drink without burning your lips or your tongue.

Common coffee brewers produce a cup of perfect coffee that is positively molten to the tongue, at 160ºF. Even as this marvelous beverage fills your room-temperature cup, temps can still reach a blistering 137.1ºF. Finally, after a couple of minutes cooling, your coffee is safe to drink, at a lukewarm 116.5ºF.

If you like, you can build your own hot drink detector the “Smart Coaster”.

TIME: 3 hours
COST: $8.61

• LM324N (Mouser #512-LM324N; $0.36)
• Thermistor (I used an obsolete thermistor from Electronic Goldmine #G1929 for my circuit.) Try this one from SparkFun Electronics #SEN-00250; $1.95
• 1K resistor (Mouser #660-CFS1/4C102J; $0.05)
• Red LED (I used a salvaged LED for my circuit.) Try this one from Mouser #696-SSLLX5093HD-5V; $0.27
• 10K resistor (Mouser #660-CFS1/4CT52R103G; $0.08)
• 10K potentiometer [I used a salvaged pot for my circuit.] Try this one from SparkFun Electronics #COM-00104; $0.95
• 3.7V battery (SparkFun Electronics #PRT-08818; $4.95)
• Scrap wire
• Round flat-top metal container (I used a salvaged Kiwi Brands shoe polish container -- just to prove to some of you that I do know shinola.)

1. Clip off the unnecessary legs from the LM324N IC: keep pins 1, 2, 3, 4, and 11.
2. Attach the thermistor to the inside of the metal container's lid with some tape. Be sure to insulate both of the thermistor leads.
3. Drill a hole in the side of your metal container for holding the red LED. Insulate the bottom of the metal container with some scrap paper or 2mm hobby foam.

Smart Coaster Schematic: Dave Prochnow

4. Follow our schematic for building the Smart Coaster circuit.
5. Fit the components inside the metal container, connect the 3.7V battery, and close the metal lid. You can easily test your completed project by turning the potentiometer until the LED just turns off (this is roughly equal to room temperature). Now hold one of your hot little fingers on the lid of the Smart Coaster. Within about 5-10 seconds, the LED should turn on. If not, then open up your metal container and carefully reexamine your wiring. If this test result is OK, you are now ready to calibrate your Smart Coaster.Smart Coaster Main Circuit: Dave Prochnow

Place your cup of fresh brew on the Smart Coaster and use the 10K potentiometer to adjust the sensitivity of the thermistor. Turn the potentiometer until the red LED glows and closely monitor the temperature of your beverage. When the cup's temps have fallen to your desired drinking level, turn the potentiometer until the LED goes out. Your Smart Coaster is now calibrated for monitoring your future drink temps. Remember, if you change cups or mugs you will have to recalibrate the Smart Coaster. Bottoms up.

Hope this helps a bit!
